Run toward the fire.
The team remembers who showed up.
When something's on fire, the instinct should be to walk toward it, not away. Especially partners. The team reads who shows up when things are hard, and remembers it for years. This isn't martyrdom or theatre. It's the basic deal: when a client crisis lands at 9pm Friday, the question isn't ‘whose problem is this’, it's ‘who's closest’.
- 01Crisis lands, partners pick up. No ‘I'll get one of my team to call you back’.
- 02Friday-night client emergency: a senior person on the thread within 30 minutes.
- 03If something is going badly internally, the people closest to it lead the response.
- 04Visibility in hard moments is the bet, not the cost.
